Yellow rolled gold plate on a Sterling base with stainless back. We have previously ID'd 2 of these black face models as Officer and I find no other models using this case. Lume skeleton hands and gold painted face details. Running and keeping time.
I love this one, great wartime watch! I see there is this one that is an exact match https://www.mybulova.com/watches/1943-officer-10159 and others as well. Seems like they did both a white and black dial on many models during this time period.
1943 Bulova Officer
I find the band interesting. It's a Bliss Bros. "Shurefit", patented in 1918 and advertized in the 1920's as "The only watch strap made all in one piece of flexible metal". It appears to be the first expansion band and has minimal expansion, just enough to slide it up on your arm a bit to wash your hands. Both sides are finished the same and identical. Either end is a clip you open with a little lever tab releasing 2 hooks from the spring bar to put on and take off the watch. It appears it can be shortened by removing the end piece and cutting it down. The company was in Attleboro, MA and went out of business in 1950.
I have since started looking for these and have found them in yellow, rose gold and silver. Every one I have found so far is just under 16 mm lugs. Really comfortable and it would appear they are "age / style appropriate" for watches from 1920 - 1950. Not Bulova standard equipment, but quite handsome. Based on the close proximity of the factory to Bulova in NY; I find it surprising they weren't.
Thought I would share; this was the first one I had ever seen and they are exceptionally well made.
