If it is a copper colored face in a yellow gold case, it's likely a marriage. Copper faces were pretty much exclusive to rose gold cases.

Maybe Kathy. An ambassador case from 1948 really look like my watch

Do we can decode the case serial number to have some information on the model ?

As far as I know, the only information we have concluded from s/n's of pre-1948 watches is that the first number indicates the year, so a s/n starting with a "8" would indicate 1938 or 1948. In this case, this style of watch wasn't produced in 1938 so it's 1948. The date code on the movement should be the same, or within 1 year of the case.

Ok so it’s clear that my watch is a 1948. Thanks neetstuf

We see 1948 watches case marked "A8" , "48" and occasionally by first number of serial number.  The absence of a date stamp with serial number and case design would indeed say it's a 1948.

Very good. dial matches case.  Now if movement is confirmed as 21 jewel,

1948 His Excellency "GG" gets my vote.

That dial is not original and has been redone, so is hard to confirm what it should look like.

The case that is the more matching with it is the tuxedo. But it’s not the same dial. Maybe they have put a other dial in it ?
