Multiple model names used for this case design in the 40s: Clinton, Chief, Knickerbocker, Comptroller. Looks like by the late 40s we have two choices, Chief or Clinton. I don't have enough information to distinguish between the two, so either name at this point.

I only picked the Chief over the Clinton because in another similar watch in the DB Stephen said he couldn't be sure what year that postcard was from.  However, I agree it is possible it could be either name.

Despite the 1949 Clinton advert, I'd be ok with tentative 1949 Chief, movt replaced.
