I picked up this piece the other day. I've worn it a few days and keeps excellent time. I've looked through the ads, the "L3" stamp on the case, the engraved inscription which kind of made me sad as obviously this was someone's Christmas preset as it was engraved with " B.T. to C.T. 12-25-1954. I'm leaning towards a 1954 Winchester or maybe 53 Winchester? As annotated in the ad, this dial is a quad dial with the dark triangles at the 9-12 and 3-6 position.
I really like this watch and I am considering to send it off for a redial. My only hesitation is I don't know if IDC will be able to replicate the quad shading which I think makes this model very unique. If anyone has any experience with a quad redial, I'd love to know. Also, aparently the watchmaker that serviced this removed the weight from the movement which also would include the bulova stamp and movement number etc. So I can only assume this is a "10CSC". I don't know if the missing movement weight will move this from being identified as a Winchester to "unknown". The funny thing, I bought it thinking it was an automatic but I always manually wind these guys up to get it going. Imagine my face when I opened it up and I'm looking at the movement thinking something ain't right here.. At first I though the watchmaker replaced some of the bridges with generic parts as they were not shiney or stamped. Then my next thought was... wait a minute where is the oscillating weight LOL... Anway I'll give it a go here for the experts. As always, thank you for your time!
Cheers, Rick

Nice find, Rick. I agree it is the Winchester, we may need to go with 1953 based on the case stamp.
I've had one shaded dial done through them, and it turned out fine. Here is a before and after:
'57 Lexington. If I recall, the first redial did not have the lines in the correct position, and I asked them to do it over.
