i have not opened the back of this watch, or do i want to, or even know how to without damaging it. its original, and never been opened. and its a wind up watch that still works. i got it from my deceased grandma who received it new as a gift, so thats why i know its never been opened or serviced. she only wore it to church and very few other special occasions. the watch looks next to new, the only flaw is the glass/cyrstal is a little bit loose. it has a slight rattle which i know is the glass. has the original case which shows its 58 years of wear. it says bulova L4 on the back with the serial number. also says bulova on the winder. and im sure its stainless steal, no tarnish and no gold or silver markings are visible. any other info besides the year is a plus. looking to sell it soon.
