When presented with the opportunity to acquire an almost identical Hand Winding AeroJet I said of course. The only difference on the dial is that this one reads “Waterproof”, and the ’66 has “Self Winding. Then I decided to put an acrylic exhibition back on the Automatic, since it is a shame not to be able to just admire the movement. This watch arrived in perfect working order, and is quite accurate, particularly for a 53 year-old watch that does not appear to have ever seen a watchmaker.
Are you referring to the cruddy hands? They could be nicer. will be looking for replacements. The watch is so clean otherwise, could that be a breakdown of the lume? Also, on the 5th photo, that gunk around the crystal and bezel is crystal polish. It has since been carefully removed. Any way to remove that shot and put an updated one in there?
