Hi All,
I'm assuming this is a Bulova mistake, but has anyone ever seen J9 as a date code? Well see pics below. Must be 49 I think. It's a little indistinct in the picture, but it's J9 for certain.

I have a Cadet with a J9 date code. Same 10BC movement but its 17 jewels. I put some pictures of it in this posting http://www.mybulova.com/watches/1935-Unknown-329

The (pink gold?) case and dial looks more like a "Lieutenant," released in 41?! (And according the Shawn+ the "J" was the first letter denotation, in 1949... and used in addition to the "49" er, stamp.)
