Seller must have got tired of the BIN offers, or took one that blew their socks off...fess up....
I've been following this post closely to ensure that there is no link to the 'active' ebay ad and that the seller isn't selling the item up, we seem to be doing that job ourselves.
As this topic was started post the original sale we all knew of its original existance on ebay.
At the moment we have a fair playing field, so to all those concerned in purchasing this watch...bid away!
I have no doubt it will go to a good home and will be purchased for the right price.

However we will need to keep an eye on this sort of event for the future

If a watch is re-listed please do not post a comment advising so.
Ok, I understand and sincerily apologize. I am a passionate collector of Italian Art Glass, my specialty is unsigned Murano and I got carried away trying to help solve the mystery. It would be wonderful for me to see the watch go to a Mybulova team member. Best Wishes For Success!

A forum member is currently in the lead! (It ain't me) One of those none snipper types. Or maybe one of those I'll put in a bid and then back it up with a snip or 2 or 3.

Better dig deep if you really want it, mybulova guys arn't the only ones hunting and we are not exclusive to sniping either. Go large or say G'day, I'm done. C'mon Jay, None of us have seen this watch ever and now it's ID'd too. I hope the seller posts all the info I have shared with her so she does get TOP dollar for this extremely rare watch. It deserves a big finish.
It all comes down to bidding strategy...Put in the most right away and try to discourage the other bidders or put in nibbler bids to make it look like it is being shilled, or just do like Plains did and put a snipe in and forget to use a decimal point!
I think the third option would work the best in this case... : D

Going, going and 2 hours left. Snipers aren't even looking out of the foxholes yet! This will be an interesting finish. I'm still with the movement markings and Cooksey's references, early 30's autowind!
Sorry Fifth, but Cooksey's has it dated in print.
Last 15 seconds saw this auction jump from $415 to $635.00. Even snipers have to load their best bid to win! This watch got 2008 mid book value which is right in line with where it should have ended up. Looks like someone new to Ebay snagged it.

Yea, I was in for a while but when it hit $400.00 I knew I was done. Fun to watch it get there though. As a seller struggling through a tough economy it was nice to see a really decent watch get a fair market price. By God, there's still folks with money to spend out there!

Not really, I watched this intently for the last minute countdown. if I was the seller I could check their previous purchases and feedback but this person did use a sniper at 1 second to go and put up the most serious $$ bid. I'll bet this puppy is gone to this bidder. Just got that feeling, seller's instinct I guess.

I know everyone thinks this conversation had no affect on this sale, but 2 of us here were watching this auction and discussing this watch with intent on buying it...untill it was pulled and relisted. In the future It would be apreciated if we dont talk about active auctions.
