Here is a head scratcher, got lucky and won this off of the bay yesterday...not in hand yet, but most of the info is in the pictures except the crystal size, which is missing.

Most of these old snap-on cushion cases that have the alignment pin are found on early 1920's Elgins, and Walthams, this is the first that I have seen on a Bulova.

Case serial would indicate 1922 or 1932, and the movement date stamp would indicate 1931 as far as we know, and maybe the movement serial number will help shed some light to back this up.

This looks more like a early 20's watch than a early 30's.

I have a movement that I have been dismanteling that is a 10AK but is identical to the subject movement. No case, just an old rusty movement that was in a box of movements I picked up from my friend.

I have a 1933 Trident with the 10ANcs movement as well.

Each second is broken into 5 hash marks per second and the hand hits each one.

That makes this as accurate as the lower end Rolex models.

Probably would have been a special order for the movement as most people had no need for something that accurate or precise.

1931 10AN which has a serial number.  We saw movement SN's  in the 21j 10AN's of this timeframe.  The dial is just fantastic- w/ that 1/5 graduated seconds. With all those jewelers marks, it's been well cared for.  ...and won with spare change to spare...
1932 unknown (for now). Nice!

Great watch AND a great buy Greg (and I thought I was the only one watching that guy go cheap!). I compared the mvnt to my '29 Center Sweep ( http://www.mybulova.com/watches/1929-unknown-4728 ) when the listing was active and just assumed it was a different model 10 AN - never occurred to me that it was missing a wheel - guess that's why someone ELSE works on MY watches.

Agree that it's Unknown, I say '32 as well, doubt it's a '22.
