Watch Description

Hi all -  I would apreciate help in identifying this watch. it has a 10k rolled gold case with gem stone embelishment.  the 7AH 17J movement is marked with an arrow and the case serial number is 7753245 . The dial is in very good condition possibly a refinished dial, both the case and  movement match the date of 1937 .

I know that trying to identify bulova models can be subjective to opinion but l find it difficult to understand some of the panels reasoning.  There is a recorded watch which is the same as mine in the db which has been recorded as a minute man, and there is one which has recently been added to the db and is again the same model as mine except its 1940 and looking at the members comments it seems they agree it is a minute man. duh!  Could we please have some consistancy from the panel, it would help us lesser mortals greatly.

Thank you

I think we are going to run all these examples back through the ID'ing gauntlet.  This way, what ever we decide, it will be more consistent.

I agree, this could be  Minute Man variant. We have the same case/dimensions, same jewel count.

We have seen four or more examples, so it is not aftermarket. The advert with no name and 21 jewels actually looks more like a President, straight sided and long case with correct jewel count.

We have certainly given watches an ID on less information or even contrary information. Look at the "President" from 1961. No advert for it as a President, but it somehow got the name.
