Watch Description

Fantastic white gold version of the 1949 Academy Award Model "T", sporting a 7AA, 21 Jewel movement. New crystal, just serviced, new seconds hand.  Thanks so much to Mike at Timemachines for the tuneups! I was going to sell this one but I think after seeing how great it looks, it'll be staying with ol' Plainsmen.  I had originally thought when I was purchasing it off auction it was natural yellow gold as seen in the pic below.  Not so much when I opened it up!  Seems to me that the white gold versions are fewer and farther in between than their natural gold bretheren.

Here's the before:

Hey Plains, I've had 7AA 21J dating from 1941 onward in several other models.Nothing strange about a 49 movement in a 1950 case either. I've had dozens upon dozens of Bulova's where the movement is a year earlier. It would seem that they used up last years excess stock in the next year's early production. Of course there's no proof, documentation etc that says they did. Purely speculation on my part. Also purely my opinion but I think the white gold version is more common than the yellow in this case style.

I've only ever seen 2 in yellow but I've had at least a half dozen of these in white.
