Due to the case not having the engravings, I would rule out Tuxedo. Is this a white gold case with yellow hands/markers? Could not find a matching ad either, going with unknown for now.

I counted about 5 to 6 in the data base without engravings. Guess they were miss labeld TUXEDO

What data base are you looking at Jim? There's none in the data base on this site with a case like yours labeled "Tuxedo" that doesn't have engraving.

The one's you're referring to are 1946 and 1947 models. The cases are completely different from the watch you have. Look at them closely. They don't have the scallops on the cases.

The early Tuxedo was a solid gold model with a solid gold bracelet, and (if yellow or red) was known as the Craftsman if on a leather band.

Subject is Unknown, no matching ad but there is a possibility it is a diamond-dial His Excellency, as an ad has been found for a different model from 1951.

Jim

Very nice watch but ,

I thought the Tuxedo had the engraved bezel, and it was an  excellecy if there was no engaving on bezel
