I just found a 1950 Bulova identical to this one for sale on ebay. Same 17 jewel 8AC movement and same dial and hands. This leads me to believe this is a model Bulova produced, but at this time the name is unknown.

Seen 1 but it was a differnt dial did not have the diamond chips at 3,9 and 12

Yea the top linked Unknown looks like Jim's subject watch. 17 jewels, etc...
