5 diamonds on top and 5 on bottom where the band connects to the watch case.
Jass05 Is there anything else stamped on the outside case back, perhaps opposite the case serial number 617677? Anything on the inside of the case back? If the case is Bulova, there's a good chance the watch is original.
DarHin I saw that chevron too. Bulova didn't go to the efforts of stamping symbols on anything without them meaning something....just what? hummm...

The First Lady looks like a strong possibility. Good call, Bobbee.
The First Lady (not to be confused with the similar 21 jewels Leading Lady) isn't a single model. It is a line of models, which was the typical approach in the '60s. At that time, we see lines of watches, with models that are quite different within the line, e.g., Beau Brummells, Presidents, Commanders, Bulova 23, Bulova 30, and on and on.
I also agree with the assessment that we do not have many ads for the '60s, which leaves us making an educated guess about what your lovely watch may be.
In addition to the First Lady, I see the late 1950's Rhapsody as a possibility. Those were also 23 jewels and came in a variety of styles. However, the date for those (relying on the one ad that we have) would appear to be a bit early for your watch (1959 ad vs. 1965 watch). It may even be that the First Lady line replaced the prior Rhapsody line.
NOTE: I was just glancing back through the ads again and spotted a 23 jewel Leading Lady as well, so there's another possibility.
