14 K , 10 diamonds. Checked by Jeweler. Needs a winder. Was only worn a few times. I am not confident enough to open the watch myself for any more information. The number on the face is 23.
I've actually changed my mind. (not that there was anything wrong with the one i had, but they've perfected the surgery and my medical insurance covered it).
I'll go with Diamond Empress, but would rate one tick unconfirmed. It may be better than unknown. It's just that jewel count unknown that adds to my apprehension...and Bulova probably made a gazillion of these similar watches under many different model names and model series...
I think the 14k Case and the Diamond count in the bezel is strong indication of the Model Name reguardless of the Movement Jewel count.
It seems that other Ladies model lines of this general time follow suit - 2 Diamonds, 4 Diamonds, 6 Diamonds ect. in the bezel.
One only needs to look at the mid 1960's ads for the 'DEW DROP', 'FIRST LADY' and 'LEADING LADY' to see the vast array of 'variants' of these which were made.
The descriptive text of the ad is giving the clue to the ID in this case and the similarity to the Watch shown is un-deniable.
So a watch bears a vague similarity to an ad and it is given 3 ticks by someone, if Will gave 1 tick and my 1 tick, 2 other votes only means at least one of them gave 3 ticks, judging the rating so far. Strange, especially when there is no internal pics, to give a definite I.D.

Bobbee I forgot to change from two ticks to one. I'll do so now. Even before my pending change, it look like no one gave three ticks, but if they did, that's what MyBulova asked them to do- give their opinions. The system is working! I hope the watch owner can determine if there's a 23 jewel movement inside, as that would match the dial markings.
The watch has never been altered so the 23 would be accurate. It only left my Mothers jewlery box on a rare occassion. I really appreciate all the input from this site. I think it is very close to the picture W.S. provided. I keep hoping I will see it on some site somewhere, but so far nothing.
