I want to give a super special shout out to Mr. Wayne Hanley!!  Out of the kindness of his heart he knew I wanted this watch pretty bad and it was top #1 in my gotta have it list.  He was going to pass it on to someone else and gave me first shot.  I happily, readily, excitedly accepted and TAH DAH!!

I am the new owner of the coolest watch I have ever seen!  This.... is by far....my favorite Bulova/Accutron I own and my ever own.

Ladies and Gentleman... I present to you... Wayne's old.... my NEW...

                                                                1975 ACCUTRON  218 WOODY !!!

 ~ Sporting it's original Duchess wood enlaid gold plated bracelet.  The wood around the bezel and on the band is real and rumored to be mahogony.

Man.. you know it!!

It's real wood in the bezel AND the band.  I thought mahogony but I've recently been told it's Rosewood.

The more I keep looking at it, the more I maybe want one...but I keep getting flashbacks to that 1971 Pinto wagon that my friend had...Those were smokey times ;-)

Seriously... this watch looks good in the pictures... but this is one that translates much better to the wrist.  It's.... freakin... sharp.

Sorry for the puns Plains, It is a sharp watch, and must be pretty rare, I have not seen any like it even on the bay, but Accutrons are not something I look for, probably too many bad battery powered watches owned in the 70's and 80's ;-)

Maybe looking at the ones you , Lisa, Wayne and Mark have on here will spark something!

Can I buy it back? it matches the dasboard in my new Hyundai Genesis! Although my wife told me to loose the Woody Watch, she hasn't complained about the Genesis.
