Black dialed 21 Jewel Ben Hurr... ORRRR OR or... an American Clipper with a 21 Jewel movement installed. The movement however is a 21 Jewel and it's sporting the scrolled dial.
Wouldn't be the first time we've seen this. In fact, we saw it last week. . . I'll have to look for that thread.
I don't believe that the movement alone can or should change the ID of the watch. This is not the Ben Hur case or dial. Those match the American Clipper. Someone could have swapped the movement for a better one when the original one broke.
Here's the other watch I was remembering from a week or so ago: http://www.mybulova.com/watches/1936-hancock-3660
We accepted the Hancock ID because the case and dial matched the ad, but the jewel count was higher in the watch than specified in the ad. The dates matched.
Movement swap is 'iffy' IMO Jay, if the Datecode didn't match the Case I would say Yes but it matches.
It's possible this Watch is something We haven't seen to Date.
or
The Customer wanted a better grade of Movement.
The 'HANCOCK' Lisa shows above is the same. Everything matches, except the Jewel count.
