Hi All,
Been a while since I last visited since my disgreements with Stephen and site issues but that's past us now. This find is just far too significant to be kept hidden in my cataloge. For years we all believed all AA model watches had curtain textured dials. Last year that myth was debunked with the addition of a few new ads showing a 2-tone " X " or quadrant dial.
We have always disregarded plain Bulter dials as being used, but suspected maybe they were.
This is probably the biggest, most important find that I have ever come across, even too important to let old bad blood stop me from sharing it.
So, From Alden's Dept. Store, 1951 Spring and Summer cataloge, I present to you, The plain Butler dail Academy Award watch. A shame we don't get a model extention but it's still proof positive that Bulova still tagged this case and dial as an AA model.
Stephen has been sent a photo of the ad to put into the database. Regards, Shawn

I misplace things in that palce too. For me, it's also several boxes and a drawer....and just a couple weeks ago found a bunch of old Bulova in there, including an academy awards w/ a nice crutain box....I gotta post it soon, but until then...it's in the WTFDIDWT box...unless I forget it's there again.
