I have two watches dating 1958 & 1959. I have found the model name to be the S.V.P VI as shown on the crystal packet and this is the only watch to take this crystal. It is obviously an abbreviation but what can it stand for? I've been looking for anything like this around the time line but have failed to come up with anything.
Don't know if you have seen this already but it's all I could find. On Friday, August 28, 1959, a U.S. federal trademark registration was filed for S.V.P.. This trademark is owned by Bulova Wa..., ********, FLUSHING, NY 11352. Not much help I know but at least we know Bulova owned the trade mark.

I have found that Arde Bulova (who ran the company) died in 1958. Then General Omar Bradley Chairman of Bulova Research & Development Labs, and friend of Ardes brother took control of the company......The dates coincide, Could it be they marked this occasion with a new watch Senior Vice President VI ? Although I think his official title was Chairman of the Board....
