Please explain the 3 star rating system. I don't recall reading about how it works or what the determing factors are too receive a 1 2 or 3 rating. Thanks. Bill
Here it is in a nutshell http://www.mybulova.com/important-notices
Basically if the watch has an ad to support the ID, it is 3 stars, but it must have a factory case and the movement date codes should be within 1-2 years. The dials may very slightly as long as they are close to the ad

Can anyone explain why this Watch has a 2 star rating?

Hi Mark,
That is a good question, I have not rated this one yet along with about 900 other Bulovas in need of a rating. Spring-Summer=busy time, Late Fall-Winter=more free time ; )
Looks like a 3 star to me and I will rate it as such, but it may need more help than me to push it up to 3 stars...

Thank You Gentlemen.
I would agree that a Watch would / should have a matching vintage advertisement or similar confirmation ( Crystal, N.O.S. hang tag etc.) in order to attain the full 3 Stars.
The three options currently are:
1. Not confirmed *.
2. Tentative **.
3. Confirmed ***.
I would also vote to have in place an option to completely reject any ID presented, zero stars perhaps?
