Ask general questions about Bulova watches. Please do not ask for model identification. Add your watch to the website for that.

I've got a few Bulova ladies empty watch cases. Filled one today. If anyone happens upon some movements for these that they don't want for themselves I would appreciate you letting me know about them. Thanks!
I have a 1929 unknown tonneau shape 15mm lug width case watch that I need spring bars for.
Am I supposed to use 1.5mm diameter spring bars?
If not, please point me in the right direction to what size to purchase and where to find them please.
Thanks! ---
I have a set of cathedral hands that are a beautiful "rainbow" blue if looked at in the right angle.
Lately I've came across some watches with hands that look ANODIZED blue ... are they installing these to try to get the "rainbow aged" blued look, or are they really just naturally aged to a blue color?
Thanks!
I noticed all 10AE movements are marked USA ... what's the story behind that?
Also, why are some movements (10AN) marked SWISS and some not? Are they all Swiss?
Thanks! ---
When looking at engraved 20s/30s watches, I've noticed when the gold is rubbed through or chipped, the metal looks more white than expected. Almost like some type of plastic in appearance.
Does anyone know what metal was used under the gold?
Thanks!
I have a 1953 and 1954 watch with a BULOVA stamped crown ... but was looking at a 1951 without the stamp on the crown.
It got me curious if anyone knows what years had the stamped crown.
The 1951 may not be the original crown, but seems the correct size.
Thanks!
I was looking at a 1950's Bulova Mans watch with diamonds at the 12/3/9 spots, and wasnt sure if Bulova was known to use real diamonds in their released models.
Thanks for the info! ---
I have a men's Bulova L2 (1952) which appears to be close to an Ultimatic. The serial number is 5217675 which I can't find anywhere. Can anyone give me a hand with the serial number? Thanks.
I was cleaning my 1954 Squadron and the crystal fell out. I'm not really feeling glue on the edges, and it doesn't seem like it has a beveled edge to just press it back in.
Figured I'd ask before I end of cracking this thing. What's it going to take to get it reinstalled... glue... a press ... or just press it back in carefully?
Thanks
