The above case is exactly the same as the 1928 ad for the "Templar"http://www.mybulova.com/vintage-bulova-watch-ads?page=1#, image 11,page2.
So, what does that make this watch? case dates to 1929, case shape and engraving had changed by 1928, so you're wrong about the I.D. Mark.

The Templan does not have the engraving all the way down to the lugs as subject watch does. I have to agree with Mark on this one, Templar is a dead match to the ad. My vote is Templar.
Should make for a very nice watch with some clean up and a little love and some good hands. Nice find Wayne.
