Bezel is verticaly engraved all the way down to end of lugs. Raised gilt hash marks for numerals and black tracks. Case is shaped like the American Clippers but not as long. Tracks follow the shape of case. Case back is marked Bulova O and is gold plated and is hinged. Missing hands but sub sec hand is there and tells me watch is running. I think it may have had stick hands but am not sure. As always watch has been cleaned and oiled. Once it has been identified I will know what type of hands to put on it.
Although the ad is not the best quality, I would have to agree with Mark on this one, you can see some sort of shadowing along the bezel edges that John's watch has, and the dial markers are quite common as are numbers on these early to mid 30's watches.
Commander would be my vote, now you just need to find the correct band and hands John!
