Watch Description

I have been waiting for a pristine one of these to come up for sale but it hasn't come along yet so I picked this one up.  I just love these dials and wanted one in each of the colors they came in.  I believe this is the Her Excellency "M".  Thanks.

I'm 100% on this being Her Excellency although I'm not on it being "M". I understand the possibility of the variant shift as Kathy has proposed (M, N, O, being yellow, rose and white) but I'm not sure I see enough evidence to support it.  The dial is problematic as well but I think less so.

I think I 'm staying with Her Ex for now

I understand your reserve as it is a theory based on the F, G, H.  Did you see the ad I posted on the first page comments with this case dial combo?

Well the O is not this in white.  I found that a different Her Excellency with that variant.  Still thinking this is M based on the ad but there is also an X in the 50s so it becomes a bit muddy lol

With no documentation it is anything else, I vote HE "M" tentative for now.

I'm going to say Her Excellency 'M'.

All theories aside I would go with HE "M" based on the ad.  Hopefully a color ad or an ad clarifying the variants will come up sometime.

Picked up this dial that is in much nicer shape and runs well.

Found this ad.  It doesn't name the variant unfortunately but does confirm yellow gold filled.  The_Brooklyn_Daily_Eagle_Wed__Sep_10__1947
