White metal case. Back has "10K Gold Filled" and Bulova" along with the serial number. Inside has, "Bulova", "Fifth Ave", "New York". The upright "corner cones" are an interesting feature and stick up more than one would think. Awesome Grey dial with while numbers and lettering and white painted hands. Nice matching Spiedel expansion band that has a nice period feel. Patent number 2,515,817 (on next to last link) which places the patent between 1950 and 1951. Has Spiedel on each link with "54" on the end links (which may be the date of manufacture or the band model). This watch is extra, extra clean, has been serviced and runs well!! One of my absolute favorites to wear......I found some 1949 "His Excellency" here that seem match this watch. Not sure this case was available in 1948.
Nice! Don't see this one very often
