Lovely little watch, the original band was WAY too small for my larger-than-average lady hands, so i took the clasp and some silk cord and made my own simple band.  There's also a lovely "B" engraved into the crown.

The 8 could be a 3.

21 Jewels is advertised as the 'LEADING LADY' - database ad Dated 1962.

Thanks for the tip! I didn't even realize there was a section with old ads, very cool! :)

Yeah... I have been meaning to maybe throw out a suggestion to show the ad's section a bit more prevalently as it's really the bread and butter on this site that is nowhere else.

I think whats held me back is those ads take up a TON of bandwidth for admin and the more people just idley click on them the more bandwidth is used.  Price of hosting the site skyrockets.

Model variant yet to be found, but agree with the initial call of Leading Lady.

I recently bought a "leading lady" box on ebay for about $10 and then saw one identical going for $100! Crazy....  Can't wait to put the watch in its rightful box though! I'll post a picture when I get it.

Oh, am I a flake....  I blame my concentrating more on school than my infactuation with watches.  The case I bought is actually for my Miss America watch, not the Leading Lady.  But still way cool :)

is that pattern on the lugs a "florentine finish accent" (mentioned in 1962 Leading Lady H ad)?
