yea Fifth I think that was the depth rating.... I have a bunch of stuff on Brevet, some patent licensing stuff on companies who had the rights to use Brevet technology, and some chatter I read on other watch blog sites... No official documentation though.  I bet that four digit case number is a "test run number".

Nice work Mark,

The 314 case number helps to confirm this as a Snorkel, and the 666 is a given, plus the back shot of the case  shows this as the "first design" of the three possibles....Three stars...The 5768 has got to be "certification number", or something else??

The 4 digit number stamped on the outer Caseback could be anything:

An Organizations inventory number? a Certification number? ...it's anyone's guess.

perhaps more case back examples of this model will help.  I hadn't thought about an organization inventory number.  Good point.

That "other" number on the outer case back will possibly/probably be a military issue marking, as these were used by the navy.

Cool.  I had guessed it may be a number associated with a run of H2O depth testing.  The dial does has military features, or the military look anyway.

This is an old thread, but recently it has been pointed out to me by Anthony (Zappatore) that these cases were produced by EPSA and were called 'SuperCompressor'.

Also, 'Brevet' is French for 'Patent', it is not a company name.
