Bulova: 1966 Accutron Astronaut. Astronaut  Astronaut  Astronaut   Case: Stainless steel.   Movement : 214 Series.   Dial:  Luminous painted hour markers, luminous painted dots at the half-hour markers.  Hands: Luminous hour and minute hands.   Bezel:  Stainless steel    M KKK   with engraved black numerals and half-hour indices.

Yep, my friend on the Accutron forum verified an ad he has for the "C" listing the MSRP at $1,000. I sure was off on that one! I thought I had seen info about a Platinum cased Astronaut. Platinum cased Accutrons are VERY RARE and were considered by some collectors to be non-existent but they really are out there. Every now and again one turns up.

We had the price of the "C" as a given from the official Bulova model price list of Fall 1964, but it's nice to see the link peter-g provided and other accutron folks are in agreement w/ the $1k price.

 A well known Accutron repair person recently sold a platinum Accuron and won't tell me the price but did say that the buyer would sell it for $25,000. I would guess that price might  be negotiable. LOL !

 That's a very nice Astronaut that started the thread.  For what it's worth my 1964 Astronaut says Bulova Accutron, my 1967 says Accutron and my 1969 says Accutron.
