The nifty twelve is why I bought the watch. I have been looking for this blue dialed Surf King also! It has an indented seconds sub-dial. I don't know the exact year, but I would bet it is close to your UNKOWN!

Wayne - based on the ads above, I'm not so sure I see a Surf King above in your post. I think I see an unkown. 1968 ish I'd say.

Found a close match in the 1969 Line Book BAWD1072 PAGE 17.   Seems to be the watch but it is hard to tell if the sub second is recessed.  Also Waterproof on the dial.  Any takers for a 1968 Bulova Sea King "CM"
