I'd like to take a moment and thank the administrators and members of mybulova.com. Initially as I enrolled as a member My personal collection of Bulovas stood at Six a number which had held in check for several Years and the intention was to simply share those pieces.
I received a watch from my mother that my father purchased for his mother (my grandmother) which I believe is an Academy Award Watch and would like to know if it is and the value. I found a picture like it on this site and have posted it as my picture.
Solid 14k white gold. Has the 1924 Patent information in case back. Multi enamelled bezel.
Rare Hinged lug model. If the 1960 GS catalogue is to be believed this is the Commuter, which makes sense given the Driver style lugs. Wonderful condition, perfect glass 3 angle crystal.
Solid 14k White Gold. Diamonds and "sapphires". Nothing else known about this wonderful piece.

I am taking a stab in the dark that this is indeed the Rumford Model as I cannot find any adverts with this on. The crystal this takes seems to fit two models according to GS catalogues, the "Hadley" and the "Rumford". Indeed they look near identical but this model has different lugs (see Hadley watch also listed). If anyone has any better ideas as to the model please let me know and i'll update, for the time being it will be listed as the Rumford.
