The BULOVA "CONQUEROR," Circa 1939. 17 Rubies, 10 karat YGF (Yellow Gold Filled)  case...I also commented earlier on Mark's recently uploaded (and third variant) on the same general case design theme... And I show cataloged (3) distinct models... that take the same glass, from 1939/40. The "AMERICAN EAGLE:" Models A, B, and C... The "CONQUEROR:" Models A, B & (C) shown here... And the "CAPTAIN:" which I'm now almost certain is the model Mark just acquired... and likely the RARER of the three, since I'd wager it only came with ONE dial variant, vs. 3??? 21 Jewels.  I can't find a date marking in any of the suggested places-- I'm guessing 1931 based on the design.  Hands are incorrect.

I have none of the information about this watch, movement Symbol, movement model etc.  My father purchased it for my grandmother before he joined the Army.  She passed away several years ago and both my parents have moved in with my sister and my mother gave me the watch.  Would like some information about the watch if possible, value, value when purchased, etc?  I found this picture on this site like the one I have, but the band is a different band, not like the one in the picture, there is no box for it.  I have carried to a jeweler to be cleaned and checked.

Purchased from Ebay on Nov. 14, 2010.  I've seen one on here as an unknown, but no others. 

It's date stamped as a 1940 and the case is very similar to my square 1940 Surgeon.

Case measures 40mm lug to lug x 21mm wide non inclusive of the Crown using Calipers.

Original Rose Dial with White and Silver trim shows Black printed Arabic numerals, tracks and Bulova signature.

Hour and Minute Hands are Modern style and a Modern style Seconds Hand shows on a sub Dial fully obscuring the 6.

Caseback is Stainless Steel and is stamped as shown.

10AX 21j  USA - keeps excellent time.
