I found this watch in my jewelry box and I think it belonged to my grandmother. It has a round face, with raised numbers, and is the old fashion wind up type. From what I can see on the back of the watch, there is what looks like A9 below the name, and directly below at the bottom is 673347. I am not sure if that is the model number or what it is. If some one can help me by telling me what year it was made and what kind of watch it is, I would be greatful.
According to the watch dating chart for 1924-1949, the "O" mark can indicate any one of three years, 1925, 1934 or 1944. What other criteria can I use to determine which of the years is correct for my watch.
Thanks to all.
Bob
This is a 17 jewel Bulova Franklin - 10kt RGP bezel - Stainless steel back
Has a few marks on the face - will upgrade pictures when refurbished.
I also have the 1947 model and will put this one onto the site also - once refurbished
See my watch, could anyone assess if this is a genuine Bulova? I hope so. Not so much for the value, but just like the Bulova brand and I would hate to find out I had bought a replica...
What e.g. does the movement number tell you? 7037T. Is that a Bulova movement, or does it refere to something completely different?
TIA!!

This is just some information I thought maybe someone would be interested in.
Most of the older Bulova jewelled watches are either 15,17, 21 or 23 jewel. Most of these jewels are ruby or simulated ruby (grown in a laboratory), cut to size and a tiny hole drilled through the centre. These jewels may be used on either side of the Centre, 3rd and 4th wheels as well as for the escape wheel . And on the pallet fork their are usually two on the pivot points.
