Watch Description

This 1941 Corrigan sports a 17 jewel, 10AX movment.  It has a variant dial from the earlier version of the Corrigan.

This particular watch was pretty filthy... it cleaned up without to much trouble.  The wrong hands were also replaced with the correct modern hands for this watch.

The dial seems a little off center and unfortunately the crown is rusted on it's end and will need replacement.

Oh look... it's a Corrigan missing 2/3 of it's case... for $350.00

So there's an auction up right now for a "Vintage 1950s Mens Bulova Manual Winding Stepped Case"

Sure looks to me like a late 1930's Corrigan that's missing 2/3's of it's case that has been polished up to sure look... well.. horrible.  Missing the overlapping crystal emplacement for the front as well as the extended lugs.

Watch Description

This gents... is the 1969 Bulova Accutron Astronaut Mark II.  The Accutron "Astronaut Mark II" series consistes of two models.  The hour hand of both models may be advanced or backed-up in exact one hour increments by setting the second crown.  In additon a reference hour (addition second red hand) will continue to display the home-base time.  The top crown is for "jumping: the red time zone hand only. They came in Gold with a Gold dial and Stainless Steel with a Black dial. This is obviously the Stainless Steel with Black Dial. I got this particular watch of ebay and you wouldn't believe me if I told you for how much.  I replaced the battery and it started humming (the noise an Accutron makes) but the hands arn't moving so it'll be a trip to the watchmaker for this guy. This is how the original crystal looked when I recieved it:

I polished the crystal with a shammy and some Brasso for a bit and the results are below.
