I bought a bag containing 5 Bulova watches. This one was the worst but also the oldest. Does anyone know what model it might be? It runs, and I'm wondering if its worth doing anything with.

NRA??

OK, I give up... somewhat! I've been scouring the internet trying to uncover the "ACTUAL/FACTUAL" EXPLANATION/ MEANING behind the little tag that was put inside vintage Bulova watch cases that read "NRA  We do our part, Bulova"....Since some of these stickers are in cases dating to the 30's I found it hard to associate a association to the National Rifle Association???? Needless to say Most of the references I've looked into are "Nutjobs" just spewing their own retoric. Does anyone know the facts???

Anyone heard of a 7BU ?

Submitted by tedwar6010 on January 14, 2011 - 2:28am

I recently purchased a ladies bulova wrist watch I believe is 1960 based on the M0 stamp on the movement. It is 17 jewel and it also says BXW. It says un adjusted swiss. I have looked all over online and can not find anything with the model 7BU. On the inside of the back it says 10k rolled gold plate bezel stainless back New York. I just want to know if I made a good purchase and some kind of background on the watch. I got it for $15.

1958 Bulova Surf King valuable? Rare?

Hey guys, I just picked up a great looking 1958 Surf King watch and was wondering if they are very rare or valuable?  I really like it a lot and will post a picture of it tomorrow.  It has a gold mesh like dial with blue second hand, not a sub dial like the one pictured on this web site.  The amazing thing is, it still runs and keeps perfect time and is in good shape, so I think I found a keeper.  I was just curious to know if they were valuable or not, I assume they're rare? This is the only web site with a photo of one that I could find.  Great web site!
